WHO WE ARE
Founded in 1988, Residential Student Government serves all students who live in University housing by providing them with ways to enhance and contribute to their residential experience at the University of Southern California. RSG is made up of five boards: Advocacy, Building Government President, Community Outreach, Funding, and Programming, who are led by an elected Executive Board.
WHAT WE DO
RSG, acts as a liaison between students, faculty and administrators, expressing a unified voice to build community, empower residents, and create opportunities for academic excellence and leadership development. RSG strives to act as a resource by coordinating and promoting all phases of student development and self-government.
The RSG General Board is composed of six boards: Advocacy, Building Government Presidents, Community Outreach, Funding, Programming and Social Justice & Inclusion.
Building Government Presidents
Building Government Presidents lead their residential hall communities, develop their leadership skills through firsthand experience, and collaborate with fellow chairs for area-wide development initiatives.
The Advocacy Board is dedicated to enriching the quality of life for USC students by supporting new initiatives and campaigning for change in housing, hospitality, and transportation. We are a powerful resource in the USC community because of our unique relationship with university administration and our passion for transforming USC.
The Community Outreach Board plans various philanthropy events for Residential Student Government throughout the year. RSG's traditional Community Outreach events including Spirits at Troy and Spring into Service.
The Funding Board reviews and allocates funds appropriately to support programs benefiting the residential community. To learn more about RSG Funding, please visit the Funding menu.
The Programming Board plans large scale, campus-wide events throughout the year for the residential community to enjoy. Our traditional Programming includes the Highlighter Dance during Welcome Week, Save Tommy Games, and Weeks of Woke. Please check the Events page for upcoming programs!
